Terra Nova Omega-3 Seal Oil is very popular among Newfoundlanders, both at home and living away. Many people are aware of the health benefits of the Omega-3 which is present in seal oil. So Newfoundlanders know about the health benefits and have been taking seal oil on a daily basis for many decades. Terra Nova Seal Oil has been around for a long time. Unfortunately it has become somewhat harder to find. You can still get it at Costco and other retailers at times, but availability can be hit or miss. That’s why we make it available online. We ship within Newfoundland very quickly (since we are located in St. John's NL). Sometimes, people receive their order the next morning. Officially, our delivery time is 3-6 business days, but it can occasionally be much quicker.

This is especially important right now as we experience another wave of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), specifically the B117 strain variety from the UK. The Chief Medical Officer of Health for the province, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, has placed the province under Level 5 lockdown to prevent the further spread of this more infectious variety of Covid.

Many people do not want to leave their house. There are delivery services available for places like Costco, Dominion, Walmart, etc. Often they use Instacart as a service to deliver your groceries. There are however a couple of problems if attempting to use these delivery services for seal oil. First of all, it can take many days before your order is even picked up and delivered. Secondly, I believe it is not possible to order seal oil online through these retailers. For example, even though Costco sells seal oil, it is not available to be ordered via Instacart. Therefore, you still cannot get it this way.

I just wanted to quickly mention specifics on shipping. Free shipping is available on orders over $80, which translates to at least 4 bottles. This goes for all of Canada. If you order less than this, there is a flat $15 shipping rate. I would not really recommend purchasing 3 bottles, as you will have to pay for shipping and for just a little more money, you could get free shipping and an additional bottle. But it’s totally up to you, the customer.
