I’ve been getting some questions regarding the actual contents of Terra Nova Seal Oil in recent days. There are a few key things people have been wondering. By the way, if you have any questions, please go here or you can email me if your answer is unavailable.
1. Vitamin D: Does Terra Nova Seal Oil contain vitamin D?
This is not fully known at this point. The manufacturer is planning on doing a detailed analysis of the vitamin D content in our seal oil capsules. Once the information is known, I will post it on the information page about this seal oil.
Other manufacturers of seal oil do say their product contains Vitamin D and it is likely that Terra Nova Seal Oil does as well. However, as of right now, whether or not it does / how much is unknown.
2. Gelatin: What type of gelatin is used in the production of Terra Nova Seal Oil?
Terra Nova Seal Oil uses both bovine (cattle) and porcine (pig) gelatin in the production of its seal oil capsules. Precise ratios used are unknown.
3. Left in the cold: If seal oil capsules are left in very cold temperatures overnight, are they still okay to take?
Yes, seal oil capsules are still safe even if left in very cold temperatures (e.g. -10 Celcius) overnight. They may be a little cloudy, but that is fine.
